NO BALLS NO GLORY

I have to admit I'm not a soccer lover BUT when designers have their say in it, I’m all ears…

No worries, I'm not going to talk about soccer. However the ball is a very important part of the game, in matter of fact 20 men run after it and 2 men try to keep it out. So it’s extremely important…
Years of research to reach thé perfect soccer ball, there are worse jobs.

For instance the CTRUS ball. This spectacular ball is designed by Mexican studio Agent. The colour of these see through ball changes when it crosses the goal line. This high-tech ball has got sensors that detect travel speed and kick force, the GPS information tracks the exact position of the ball. I’m not going to bother you with the technical specifications, you can look it up yourself if you’re interested.

What about the world cup soccer ball?
No see-through ball though, but if you take a closer look at it, it looks quite nice. It’s already the 12th ball that Adidas has designed for the world cup over the years. Since 2006 they've radically changed and reduced the amount of panels of the ball. The Brazuca is made of only 6 equal panels! (panels are the different pieces of the ball)

Have you ever wondered how it’s made? No? Take a look at this video if you’re curious …
