RED

Red is absolutely my favourite colour!

I dye the leather for my accessories myself in my studio. Over the years I improved my dyeing technic. Leather dye is a thin liquid which can be applied with a brush, a sponge, or a colourfast rag, whichever gives the most uniform results. I mostly use wool daubers.

The colours I use are: black, brown, violet, bordeaux (dark red) or red. Red is absolutely my favourite. Most leather dye projects require three to five coats and the leather must dry in between each coat. 

It is very time-consuming … perfect for a rainy day!
